Creativity is the key to unlocking your personal and professional success. The first step in this presentation is listening to Johann Sebastian Bach. This step has reminded me of the power of Boroque period music which is believed to increased concentration, focus, and retention. Try these steps out and tell me what you think.

I like the dictionary idea! I’ve never tried that before and think I might, right, now :)

Also, taking a walk is very underrated. Anytime I’m working on anything, I try to take a break every hour or so just to clear my head.

You’re wrong about the drugs. Many of the most creative ideas and executions of the last century have been hatched under the influence, and many of the most creative people I know (and I’ve dozens of leading inventors, entrepreneurs, artists, directors and so on) have found myriad benefits in myriad drugs, from caffeine to anti-depressants, from marijuana to LSD and beyond. Writing them off with such a sweeping statement is small minded.

Yea to add on to what Gary said…. I guess the Beatles mid-late period output sounded like “people on drugs” and thats why their words resonated with the entire frign world and still do. You going to tell me “Across the Universe” is just the raving of someone on LSD when everyone knows it’s one of the greatest songs ever written? (I don’t even really listen to the beatles that much and i can at least admit this). They are just a small example. There are many others. Carl Sagan smoked pot and extolled its creative virtues. The majority of the late sixties to early 70′s music scene… just “people on drugs” and not some of the finest musical/creative/imaginative/inspirational output in the past 40 years. Riiiiiigggghhht…
