The tone of the video is rather cynical and condescending in regards to the audience of millennials that may have had the opportunity to watch the segment. 60 minutes provides solid ground work for understanding who the millennials are but lacked the research necessary to comprehend the true values and ideals of individuals born between 1978-2000 (time frame is debatable). Around 5:45 60 minutes goes to say that Mr. Rogers is one of the reasons that Generation Y are spoiled babies; laughable to say the least. Hopefully in the future 60 minutes will do a better job of picking and interviewing Generation Y representatives. I would be honored to speak for the most misunderstood generation of all time. Stay tuned for more info in reference to the media’s inaccurate portrayal of Generation Y. However I do agree, “Generation Y are the future.”
