Camp Lo is still the future

Camp Lo never ceases to amaze me. From a classic debut — Uptown Saturday Night (One of the freshest album covers of all time – inspired by Marvin Gaye’s – I Want You cover artwork) to Let’s Do It Again. The Lo’s latest opus, Stone and Rob Caught on Tape brings me back to the future; a future that I did not totally understand in ’97 but fully comprehend in ’09.

These two gentlemen intertwined amazing lyrics with consistent production –over a course of 15+ years. Full disclosure: I used to review albums for magazines and newspapers. With that said, I feel this is an album that you should listen to for yourself. Here is a sample: Track 11 – Diamond Crookz   Track 12 – Future (Note: This song represents Camp Lo to the fullest)

“We been ahead of our time they still dissecting our rhymes”

“The future disappears to the now that’s why we’re here”

- “Future”

One of the classics:

Director: Will Fulton

In 2009 can we get a Camp Lo x Kanye West collaboration? Whether fashion, music, or reality show. We need something…Well maybe not a reality show.
