My Video Response to ep 1 of #Spur by @rscout -#kenji

I was two seconds from adding background music. Maybe the (new) Mickey Factz track I heard while up lat night attempting to reach 1,000 followers on Twitter was the inspiration. Either way, I decided to go acapella.

My favorite point was about the potential for partnerships within the planning discipline. I.e., the dynamics of the art director and copy writer team but for planners with different skill sets and personalities.

Please disagree with everything I said and do your own.

Well said. from an outsider’s perspective, planning is a new discipline that needs to be solidified, and your idea of parternships seems to me like the path to the new model that might change the game.

The discipline is so young that it often is marginalized by those on the creative, account, and advertiser sides. My hope is that (we) planners can start going for partner, managing director, ECD, and board of director/chairman positions. This way we will have a ‘stronger’ voice at the table.
