Fundamentally it addresses the conundrum of finding a better alternative to taking the train–especially when delays and re-routing are major issues.
How could this advertisement been better?
Zipcar could have invested in targeting this cad based on the demographic/psychographic make up of this geographic location. The Bedford- Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn is not very gentrified, yet. As an inhabitant of this neighborhood I would felt a more emotional "tug" if the people in the ad were Black or Hispanic, or at the least mixed race or Hipster…oops I meant Zipster.
There you have it. A slight critique of the advertising that I see in my neighborhood. Until next time.
