I started this blog with different interview series, such as Tastemakers and Bright Future (see Interviews). This one is called Interwebs Famous.
Brian Moore is a smartly dressed chap that is interning at BBH NY this summer within our Barn program. He decided to crowdsource his dating–leaving the people of the interwebs to choose who he dates. (Visit DatingBrian.com to see where the project lives. For (near) real time updates about the social experiment check @DatingBrian). Becoming interwebs famous is not easy, and I doubt we have heard the last from Mr. Moore (and his amazing two team members involved in the project).

Social experiments make the world go round. Get out and do one for yourself. You can check a few of my own if you want some inspiration.

“We have created something called the collective brain…we are the neurons” – Matt Ridley
Reminds me of the concept of C.G. Jung‘s collective unconscious.

Drainspotting is a photography book of Japan’s custom manhole covers, found across nearly 95% of the country’s 1780 municipalities.
The book features a curated selection of over 100 photographs, capturing the best and most visually compelling of Japan’s 6000 distinct manhole cover designs, part of a 20-year beautification program — orchestrated by what’s essentially Japan’s version of the WPA — aiming to make manholes reflect the uniqueness of each city — its mythology, its aesthetic sensibility, its legacy and essence.

This is one of those big ideas that as a kid you imagine happening. A basketball game played on a bespoke court in the middle of Time Square? Insane. I hear Nike Basketball is going extremely hard this summer. I just hope they keep the gritty city integrity intact.
props to Nike Basketball
