The previously released version was good but I love the imagery on this one. I’m going to end up re-watching this vid 10 or so times tonight just to catch some of the symbolism that may have ‘went over my head’.

Kid Cudi – Pursuit of Happiness VIDEO

I can’t wait till New Years Eve in NYC! This is a video that makes your reflect on ‘how’ and ‘with who’ you celebrate the New Year. Too bad MGMT and Ratatat couldn’t make their cameos. I wonder how they would have been incorporated.

You know a song was worth writing when you have it touch a person that you may not have been able to originally reach. Imagine how many Fray fans just started looking through Kanye’s discography.

Great job on the video.

Coke: Open Happiness Music Vid

July 20th, 2009 § 0 comments § permalink

I had to smile when I watched this. Who doesn’t love multicultural kids, alternative-mainstream artists, and zebras? lol sarcasm aside, I really thought this achieved the objective of the creative brief. Branded songs/music videos are the future. Can anyone spot the Coke product? No, probably not. This campaign is aiming to be more of a movement. A movement filled with feelings related to optimism, hope, and a brighter future.
